Miller Studio 203

Miller Dance Studio 203 Miller 203 measures 3022 square feet and is our largest dance studio for classes. The floor is a Harlequin sprung hardwood floor and is the perfect space for modern, ballet, jazz, improvisation, and Bharatanatyam (classical Eastern Indian Dance) classes. Rehearsals are also held daily in this studio, as well as student showings and master classes. The dance studio is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, classroom technology cart, projector and projection screen, whiteboard, ballet barres, mirrors, piano, Clavinova, percussion and other musical instruments for live accompaniment.

Miller Studio 201

Miller Room 201

This studio measures 1682 square feet and has a Harlequin sprung floor with a vinyl surface. The studio features floor to ceiling windows, making it feel like you are outside. This studio is used for classes and rehearsals.

Miller Theater

Miller Mainstage Miller Theater is a proscenium theater that has 753 seats. The stage floor is a portable, sprung, Harlequin floor covered with black vinyl that is 42’ wide and 28’ deep. Backstage amenities include two group dressing rooms with 12 makeup mirrors and 14 makeup mirrors, respectively; two “star” dressing rooms; handicap accessible showers; and a green room. The Department of Dance schedules two dance concerts annually in Miller Theater (Faculty and Guest Artists Dance Concert in the fall and the SRUDT Emerging Artist Dance Concert in the spring).

Dance Studio Theater RM 222

Stoner Room 222 With Student Dancers The Stoner West Dance Studio Theater measures 4201 square feet, with a dance area of 2,245 square feet and fixed seating for 200+. The ceiling height is 40 feet. The floor is a Harlequin sprung floor with vinyl covering. Many dance concerts are presented in this space, including the BFA capstone concerts, 60x60, Fresh Moves Showcase, Adjudication Showing, Composition I & II Concerts, Laban Movement Analysis and Art of Performance Concerts, as well as technology showings, guest artist lectures and performances. The dance studio is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system and projection system for performances that include film or other technology. Dance production students get hands on experience with lighting design in this space.

Stoner West 118 Studio

Stoner Dance Studio 118 With Students Stoner West Studio 118 measures 2316 SF. The studio is equipped with ample barre space, natural lighting, mirrors, piano, a state-of-the-art audio system. The studio floor is a Harlequin sprung floor with light grey vinyl covering. This studio is used daily for classes and rehearsals.

Stoner West Rehearsal 231

This rehearsal space is 430 square feet and has a Harlequin activity floor with a vinyl surface. The space is adequate for students to work individually or in small groups to work on movement assignments or solo rehearsals. Faculty and students also use this room as a warmup space.

Stoner West Pilates Studio 234

The Stoner West Pilates Studio is 430 square feet with a Gerstung sprung floor with a wood surface. This studio is equipped with state-of-the-art Balanced Body Reformers (4), Cadillac, Barrel, Wunda Chair, and Spine Corrector.

Stoner West Dressing 122 and Green Room 127

Dressing rooms and a green room with TV monitors and a Clear-Com wireless intercom system enhance communication during performances. The dressing rooms include all gender restrooms with shower stalls and extensive counter space with mirrors and lighting for makeup.
