SRU cited by Washington Monthly in its 2024 national rankings and as a “Best Bang for the Buck” college

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Washington Monthly released its 2024 College Guide and Rankings and 㴫ý placed in the top 20% of institutions ranked in its category. SRU was also named one of the "Best Bang for the Buck" colleges for affordability.
SRU ranked 105th out of nearly 600 schools , which are schools that "award a significant number of master's degrees but few or no doctoral degrees." SRU offers four doctoral programs and more than 40 master's-level degrees and certificates.

Washington Monthly's editors rank four-year schools based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research and providing opportunities for public service.
